Isaiah Robinson was the poster child for the public safety problems caused by the docket backlog of the early 1990's in York County.  He was arrested five times for drug possession and distribution offenses between 1990 and 1993 and each time he was released on bond to return to the community and re-offend.  It was not until I prosecuted him in December of 1993 that he was given a sentence of 15 years for one of his very first offenses.  Had the docket not been clogged with so many thousands of cases he would have been convicted in 1990 and would have been in prison instead of out on the streets committing so many other crimes.

There is no question that speedy prosecution is an important component of an effective crime prevention strategy.  I am proud to lead the office that has consistently led the state in this regard for the past ten years.
